Bring evidence, not just a model name
A model name may cover different years, options and configurations. Before asking whether an implement will fit, identify the exact tractor and implement you are discussing. Record the year or variant, serial details where appropriate and the manual or specification document used.
Keep a copy of each source with its date. If a dealer supplies a figure that differs from a web listing, ask them to explain which applies to your machine and put that answer in writing.
Collect the power figures
Record tractor PTO power separately from engine power. Copy the implement maker's minimum and any maximum power requirement, including the units. Also record the PTO speed and connection requirements from the manuals. Do not substitute a percentage estimate for a missing manufacturer figure.
Where power is stated in different units, confirm the conversion and retain the original values. Avoid rounding a borderline result into an apparent match. A calculation using the wrong model's specification can look precise while answering the wrong question.
Collect the mounting and weight figures
Record linkage category, implement mass and the tractor's stated rear lift capacity, including where that capacity is measured. A value at the link ends is not automatically comparable with one measured farther behind them.
Ask what the implement actually weighs in its working configuration. Optional equipment or material carried can change loads. Ask the dealer to address ballast, axle and tyre limits, stability, control and the manufacturer's approval for the proposed combination. A lifting-capacity comparison alone cannot resolve those questions.
Record access separately
Note implement working width and overall transport width as distinct values. Record the tractor's overall width in the intended configuration. Compare the complete transport envelope with the route, allowing for turns and the manufacturer's instructions.
Working width can help estimate coverage, but it is not always the dimension that must pass through a gate. This distinction is especially useful when reviewing a calculator result.
Use the matcher as a first check
Enter supported figures in the implement matcher. Keep unknown values marked as unknown. Its checks can help identify questions; they cannot approve a machine combination or your operating conditions.
Use the downloadable comparison sheet to record the result, the documents behind it and the dealer's outstanding answers. Ask for confirmation of PTO shaft suitability and guarding by a competent supplier; this guide does not provide fitting or modification instructions.
Before agreeing the purchase
Make sure the quotation includes the specified options, manuals, handover and any setup required. Ask who will establish compatibility and provide training. Keep that response with the quotation.
